Our on-site hemodialysis program allows our residents to receive dialysis treatments in a comfortable personalized setting within our skilled facility. Our highly trained, experienced renal staff strives to provide the individualized and personal attention that you don’t always get from a larger clinic. Each of our dialysis stations includes a state of the art hemodialysis machine, an individually mounted flat screen TV with Internet access, and a comfortable recliner.

Sophisticated laboratory equipment allows us to continuously evaluate clinical outcomes. Monthly quality improvement meetings with our clinical staff and renal medical director will enable you, or your family member as a dialysis patient to achieve the highest level of wellness possible.

Dialysis services at Deerbrook Care Centre are provided by Direct Dialysis, a Medicare certified dialysis provider since 2004. An intimate setting of 6 chairs per session allows for direct supervision and visualization of each patient. As part of our customer focused commitment, we encourage patient and family member participation in the care plan process. Dialysis services at Deerbrook Care Centre eliminate the need for patients to travel to an outpatient clinic and thus allow more time for restorative and recreational activities.

Our Mission

Direct Dialysis is dedicated to providing optimal care to the renal clients we serve. We offer a warm setting with a team of professionally trained staff. Our mission is to provide the best possible care for our patients in an intimate, caring and pleasant environment, while maintaining a culture that fosters respect and dignity.

We believe that the best possible care is achieved through the combined efforts of our clinical support team, under the guidance of a Board Certified nephrologist. If you or your family member have a preferred nephrologist, we welcome that physician to continue with your care during your stay at Deerbrook Care Centre.

Our clinical team includes the director of dialysis services, RN facility manager, RN’s, and certified dialysis technicians – all specially trained with extensive years of practice. The team works collaboratively to evaluate each patient and to render personalized care. A registered dietician who monitors nutrition, and a social worker who addresses the patient and family social needs further compliment this team. Deerbrook Care Centre accepts dialysis patients for both long-term care and short -term rehabilitation needs. The dialysis team works to personalize a dialysis treatment schedule to maximize progress with physical and occupational therapies.
