Festival of Trees
  Dated : 11.22.2010

Joliet, IL - Deerbrook Care Centre is once again, sponsoring a tree in this year's ComEd Festival of Trees at the Rialto.  The festival begins Monday, November 22nd and lasts through to Sunday, November 28th.  The local community looks forward to this "official" start to the holiday season.  All of the proceeds from the the week long event go to the Rialto Square Theatre, a nonprofit organization. Their mission is "To lead a performing arts community partnership to enrich the quality of life by encouraging artistic and cultural development."
In addition to the many separate functions that take place during the week, the main event is the unveiling of the Christmas trees that have been decorated by the many sponsors.  For this year, the theme for Deerbrook Care Centre's tree will be "Country Charm".  Amy Zumpf, Community Relations Manager for Deerbrook, says of the festival, "This is such a special event for the entire community.  Everyone comes out to see the trees and our residents look forward to attending the festival.  They really enjoy being represented and participating in the tradition that the festival has become."  She adds "We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the festival.  It's for a great cause and it makes for a fun family outing."
