Joliet, IL - Deerbrook Care Centre, 306 N. Larkin Ave. is excited to announce the newly landscaped and renovated, "Serenity Garden" in the Alzheimer's neighborhood. With the help of Reuben's Landscaping Company, several staff members and volunteer residents, the large patio and garden area has been transformed into an oasis where residents can enjoy the sun, flowers and birds singing. It has also become a favorite spot for families to visit their loved ones on nice days. The large garden has several different seating areas from which to enjoy the wide variety of flowers, trees and shrubs. One of the most exciting aspects of the garden is that each year the residents themselves plant the new flowers for the coming season. Many of them take pride in their garden and tend to the flowers and other plants throughout the year. Along with the newly renovated Alzheimer's dining room and the addition of the dialysis unit, the garden is just another of the new and exciting changes taking place at Deerbrook Care Centre.
